If you're not a knitter, you might not fully understand the importance of this, but I am one sleeve on a child's sweater away from not having a project. Aside from a pair of socks that are like 50% done anyway, (and I don't think socks should be considered a project because they're so easy not very time consuming. It's like saying all my mid-terms are done except for one open book exam in Home-Ec.) I'll be project-less by tomorrow.
Also, it occurs to me that, for as much as I talk about knitting, I don't think I've ever put up any pictures of the things I've knit. And I don't think this blog has had a healthy dose of narcissism in a few days, so here you go:
This is the sweater that I'm just about to finish. It's for Kiernan, and it hasn't been blocked yet which is why it looks a little weird. I'm sending it off to his mom in a few days so she can tell me what needs to be altered on it. I really think the colors will look amazing on him, and I hope I can get it to fit right. Blocking will definatly help. It's a Knitting pure & Simple pattern done in Andes.
This is a christmas stocking that I made for The Boy. I got the pattern from Ravelry, and it's made up in some acrylic yarn that I had around the house. It worked up in about 4 days, and was kind of fun. I was playing with different methods of fair isle towards the end, and taugh myself how to knit so I wouldn't have to twist the yarn so much. I really like it.

Here's a turtle and a bug. They are crocheted. I made them at work taking elements from Amigarumi. they were made with some odds & ends yarns we had around the store and I think they're adorable.
Here's a scarf I crocheted using Frmhouse Yarns Bonnie's Bamboo in either the "sand" or the "olive" colorway. I can't remember which. I made it in a day, and used just a triple crochet stitch. I really, really like bamboo yarn.
This is an Insubordiknits pattern from one of their monster hat kits. It comes with an adorable felted monster patch and the yarn is so bulky it works up in no time at all.
And finally, some very sweet little booties from Last-Minute Gifts using Belangor French Angora. Super easy, and the results are nauseatingly cute.
So, that's about it. That's all the projects I have pictures of, any way. I promise not to bore you with another one of these for another few months. And even if I do, you just go ahead and get over me, because I don't see any of you writing blogs. Well, except for those of you that I do see writing blogs.
ps - here's some upcoming projects that I should have finished by 2009:
