Creature of Habitat

So, it’s 1:30 am, and I’m awake and there doesn’t seem to be an end in sight.  Turns out, while I spent the last two years scratching at the walls to get the crap out of Beverly, I’d forgotten that moving gives me insomnia.  Something about being surrounded by boxes marked “office”, and “Kevlar” just makes it impossible to sleep.

It’s 100% fear of the unknown.  We’re moving back in with a roommate, in a town neither of us have spent any real time in.  Then, after a month, I’m moving back to Burlington without a job lined up.  It’s scary stuff.  For the best, sure, but scary.

There’s things I’ll miss about living here.  Things like my job, some of the folks I’ve met, and Chad and I sharing our own place.  But, going home will be so cool.

But, I just know it’s going to about two months before I really sleep again.

     Small price to pay.
